Workplace collaboration looked different in a pre-pandemic world. It was filled with whiteboard scribbles, flipcharts, loud boardroom meetings, serendipitous watercooler moments, and launching into a project conversation in the kitchen. It was effortless and ‘in the moment’ in comparison to what followed.
In came the influx of Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings, and the rise of Miro boards and online tools that tried to replicate that familiar ease of working together.
Two years on, our workplaces have changed. The future of work is here, and while these shifts were propelled by the pandemic, they were always coming.
The role of the office is evolving, the technology and software we rely on is advancing, and even the concept of a working day is dissolving.
